About BlueWorx
BlueWorx (formerly MyPM) was created in New Zealand by SAP Gold Partner Zag, part of Accenture, an experienced SAP consultancy and region leader – Asia Pacific’s first SAP Partner Center of Expertise.
Across our SAP client base, we witnessed businesses struggle with mobile asset management and the solutions available in-market. Often, these companies’ users had reverted to clipboards due to the poor usability, reliability and deficient functionality of their enterprise apps. The reality is that poor asset management practices put human lives at risk. SAP customers were demanding more.
Our long-term client, the New Zealand Department of Conservation, reached out to Zag for help developing a solution that effectively mobilized the SAP Plant Maintenance module and empowered users to inspect and maintain conservation assets in remote areas with ease. Using our deep knowledge of SAP ERP, Plant Maintenance, UI/UX and mobile app development combined with our knowledge the Department’s asset management needs, BlueWorx was born.
In creating BlueWorx, we focused on the end users’ needs and on the benefits derived from mobilising their operations. We listened to our customers and delivered the functionality they needed the most. But we haven’t stopped there. BlueWorx is full of innovative features that takes SAP mobile asset management to the next level and we continue to innovate and develop with that mindset every day.
This ability to rapidly innovate with BlueWorx is just part of the reason Zag, with its award-winning SAP transformation projects and successful customer relationship track record, caught the attention of Accenture, which acquired the company in October 2020. The global backing from Accenture brings heightened opportunity for more SAP-installed asset-intensive businesses around the world to deploy an effective mobile EAM solution ahead of others in the industry.
Where and how we operate
Since the original BlueWorx implementation at the Department of Conservation, BlueWorx has captured the interest of other asset-intensive SAP organisations around the world. Today, BlueWorx has been adopted from Singapore to North America with customers spanning various industries including natural resources, energy, utilities, manufacturing, chemicals, public services and defense.
The BlueWorx Product Development team is based in Wellington, New Zealand with the Zag team implementing BlueWorx across Australia, New Zealand and North America. BlueWorx, SAP and Neptune Software
Zag have used SAP and Neptune Software’s Add-On to create BlueWorx. Neptune Software is a SAP Certified add-on that allows organisations with SAP to rapidly create, deploy and manage Fiori type applications wholly from within SAP. That means no middleware or black boxes, just SAP and your mobile device.
